Bueno, creo que uno no conoce Cartagena hasta que recorre las calles de la ciudad vieja y sabe por lo menos el nombre de 10, sabe donde comprar la mejor arepa de huevo y puede perderse en un paseo en bus que puede durar horas a los barrios remotos de la ciudad. si fuera fotografo, estaria ocupado todo el dia capturando en imagenes lo que las palabras no describen del color y los olores de esta ciudad. Sal marina mezclada con el aire calido, mezclado con los fritos de la calle y los olores de la sonrisa de la gente, que pensamos que son transparentes sin olor, pero son parte del paisaje que complementa a la ciudad. Cartagena es mas linda de lo que la vemos y se engalana en sus vestidos de cumbia y su hora loca de fiesta. Creo que cada persona que la visita la experimenta de una forma diferente pero todos encuentran algo hermoso en la ciudad.

visiting Cartagena

The first time I was in Cartagena, Colombia I was a kid. I was born in Bogota, a "cold city" with rainy days and really more spring like weather. I always had a sweater to go to school and more days that not I had four blankets on top of me to go to bed. Most people think of Colombia as a "hot weather country" but the forget that we have the Andes to give us all variety of climates and beauty.

Cartagena impressed me as I guess impresses every one that visits. For a kid, the wonderful view of the sea the warm weather simply in the air, the beautiful sense of freedom that you experience. I felt in love with the city and decided that one day I will be able to live there.

I am now an entrepreneur living in Cartagena after a career in tourism some travels in Europe. Living abroad only thought me to love my country even more.
